Officials from the Boone County Sheriff's Office have identified the man who died in a farming accident Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 as Larry E. Barrett, Sr., 72, of Madrid.

Volunteers worked three hours each Saturday, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 to caulk, install door sweeps, attach window film, weatherstrip around doors, install outlet and switch gaskets and install faucet insulating covers in selected Ogden homes as part of a weatherization project.

At least 30 U.S. veterans, spread over three generations, accepted an invitation from the Ogden High School senior class to come and share some of their military experiences during a morning coffee held Wednesday, Nov. 11 at the school.

Patricia Dunn, RN, of Ogden, was recently recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing for having held active licensure for over 50 years, joining only 13 other nurses on the list. Full Story

One to One Physical Therapy building is now in place The new building for One to One Physical Therapy has been put in position just east of the Ogden city limits on 216th Drive (old Highway 30).
Owner Shantel Smith hopes all interior work can be completed during the next few weeks so her new facility can be opened by year's end.
It will be much larger than her present location on main street.
