    Madrid man killed in farm accident
          Officials from the Boone County Sheriff's Office have identified the man who died in a farming accident Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 as Larry E. Barrett, Sr., 72, of Madrid.

          The OHS drama and music departments presented "Big" before an appreciative audience last week. The full cast photo was published last week. Here are a few more photos.     Volunteers helping to keep homes warmer

          Volunteers worked three hours each Saturday, Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 to caulk, install door sweeps, attach window film, weatherstrip around doors, install outlet and switch gaskets and install faucet insulating covers in selected Ogden homes as part of a weatherization project.

    Ogden group joins in third Central Iowa Honor Flight
    Dean Miller, left, Warren Christensen, center, and Merrill Lamm were among the veterans on the third and final Central Iowa Honor Flight that left from Des Moines Wednesday Nov. 4, 2009 for Washington, D.C.
          Merrill Lamm joined three other Ogden veterans, Dean Miller, Warren Christensen and Dick Sward Wednesday, Nov. 4 on a one-day trip to Washington, D.C. as part of the Central Iowa Honor Flight.

          Patricia Dunn, RN, of Ogden, was recently recognized by the Iowa Board of Nursing for having held active licensure for over 50 years, joining only 13 other nurses on the list.

    One to One Physical Therapy building is now in place
          The new building for One to One Physical Therapy has been put in position just east of the Ogden city limits on 216th Drive (old Highway 30).
          Owner Shantel Smith hopes all interior work can be completed during the next few weeks so her new facility can be opened by year's end.
          It will be much larger than her present location on main street.
