The win vaulted the No. 2-ranked Vikings (10-0) into the first round of the playoffs, where they hosted Bedford (7-3) on Monday night. The winner of that game will face either Madrid or Treynor in the quarterfinal round Friday night.
A-H-S-T ran 63 plays against Southeast Warren compared to just 33 plays for the Warhawks, outgaining the visitors in total offense, 429-33. Senior quarterback Seth Enke completed 15-of-19 passes on the night, good for 239 yards and one touchdown pass to Hunter Nelsen.
The Vikings scored three times in the second quarter to take a 28-0 halftime lead and added one TD in each of the final two quarters. Southeast Warren finished with just three first downs, including two via penalty.
"This was probably our best game of the season overall," said A-H-S-T head coach Cory Faust. "We especially improved on defense and the kicking game. After taking a look at the film, there are still some things we can do better.
"Tanner Eichelberger had a great game in all phases, but especially on defense. He really dominated on that side of the ball.
"Our offensive line did a nice job handling a very aggressive front from Southeast Warren. They did a nice job adjusting to some different looks than we had seen on film."
Enke led the Vikings with 70 yards rushing on 14 carries and scored one touchdown himself. Dylan Zornes added TD runs of 2 and 14 yards and Eichelberger scored on a pair of one-yard runs.
Nelsen hauled in four catches for 89 yards, including a 26-yard touchdown, and Gunner Gilland and Eichelberger added 65 yards receiving apiece.
The Vikings played turnover-free football on the night and Enke boomed a 74-yard punt on special teams.
Gabe Fell led the defense with eight total tackles, Matt Whyte and Zornes both had six tackles and Nelsen and Enke each picked off an interception.
