    IKM-Manning destroys Mustangs
    By: 10/30/2009
SHENANDOAH -- The IKM-Manning Wolves wrapped up an 8-1 regular season and Class 2-A, District 8 runner-up finish Friday night with a 64-0 victory over winless Shenandoah.

IKM-Manning led 48-0 by the half in its final tune-up for postseason play. The Wolves finished 6-1 in District 8, with their only loss coming at the hands of Kuemper Catholic, 35-28, in overtime.

By the time Friday's game ended, IKM-Manning had racked up 29 first downs and 591 total yards, including 541 on the ground. The Mustangs finished with negative rushing yards (minus 10) and just 86 total yards.

Incredibly, the Wolves' rushing ledger featured 10 backs with at least 22 yards. Jerad Croghan led the way with 103 yards, Matt Vogel had 82 yards and Jarad Gaskill had 65 yards - each carrying the ball just seven times. Mitchell Irlmeier added 63 yards on only five attempts and Bryce Irlbeck ran the ball three times for 50 yards.

Irlbeck also completed all four of his passes for 50 yards, with one touchdown pass to Rick Blake.

The eight rushing touchdowns were spread out, led by Gaskill and Croghan with two each. Cody Willenborg, Ian Erickson, Josh Ertz and Vogel all found the endzone once.

Chance Wiese and Robert Tank both picked off an interception for the Wolves' defense and Sam Irlmeier recovered a fumble. Croghan finished with a team-high seven total tackles.
