    Ogden boys stretch record to 12-4

    Win big at Griswold Tournament

          After losing to Van Meter, the Bulldogs picked up four wins in a row, the final two at Griswold where they defeated Villisca 20-6 and Clarinda 15-5 in tournament play. Ogden now has 12 wins to 4 losses on the year.
          They played at Des Moines Christian Tuesday (after presstime) and will be at Madrid Thursday.
          Stats from the past week's game will be published next week.

    Van Meter 12 - Ogden 2

          Ogden suffered a 12-2 loss to the Bulldogs from Van Meter Monday, June 4.
          Van Meter scored first in the home half of the second inning. Doud led the inning off with a single. Engstrand grounded out to Adreon then Flaherty and Helmick were both hit by the pitch loading the bases. Doud scored on a single by Eslick. Van Meter led 1-0.
          The Bulldogs responded in the top half of the third inning with two outs. Cody Good singled and Adam Adreon followed with a two run homer giving Ogden a 2-1 lead. Brittain highlighted a 4 run inning for Van Meter, putting Van Meter up 5-2. The opposing Bulldogs added 3 more tallies in the fourth and 4 more in the fifth for 12-2 final.
          Ogden was led by Adam Adreon with two hits including a home run.

    Ogden 14- Guthrie Center 0

          The Bulldogs erupted for 13 first inning runs and coasted to a 14-0 win over Guthrie Center Tuesday night at home. Ogden avenged its Monday loss in a big way scoring 14 runs on 11 hits.
          In the home half of the first inning the Bulldogs scored 13 runs on 9 hits highlighted by Josh Turner's two doubles in the inning and triples by Westberg and Haglund.
          Ogden added its final run in the second inning when Carson led the inning off with a single. Carson advanced to second on a ground out by Church and scored on a single by Cody Good.
          The Bulldogs were led by Turner with two doubles. He pitched 5 innings of 1 hit ball striking out 12 batters while walking 3. Westberg and Haglund added triples.

    Ogden 11 - WG 1

          The Bulldogs used an 8 run first inning as they coasted to an 11-1 win over the Woodward-Granger Hawks Thursday. Ogden scored 8 runs on 6 hits as they cruised to the win. The Bulldogs also added single tallies in the third, fourth and fifth innings.
          The Hawks scored their only tally in the top half of the fifth inning. With two outs Smiley collected a free pass and McConnahay reached base on a error on the centerfielder allowing Smiley to score.
          Ogden was led by Turner and Adreon with three hits apiece.Westberg and Cayce Good each contributed 2 hits. Preston Church pitched 5 innings not allowing a hit or a earned run striking out 9 while walking 5 batters.
