Maddie Diggs turns it on towards the finish of the 400 meter run at Jefferson
Although it was cold and windy during Monday night's meet at Gilbert, times recording by the lady Bulldogs remained constant. "This," says Coach Dave Neubauer, "is a great indicator that we are progressing well."
Ogden was led by the 4 x 800 relay that placed second. Made up of Maddie Diggs, Kate Christensen, Michaela Halbur and Sydney Bishop, the foursome finished in a time of 11:42.60. The coach feels they have progressed nicely through the season.
"This relay is really what our whole team is about. If it is an event where hard work pays off, then we can be good at it."
Diggs had an outstanding night. In addition to her 4x800 contribution, she placed third in the 400, fourth in the 200 and anchored a sixth place finish in the 4 x 100.
Another runner who put in a good night was Jenna Sheirbon, placing in the 100 and running three relays of which the 4 x 100 and sprint medley placed.
Christensen also ran very well anchoring the sprint medley.
Halbur took fourth placed in the 800 run with a time of 2:46.87.
Ogden's next meet is Monday, April 23 at Humboldt.
