Billie Thurow of Ramona and Justin Bartel of Madison exchanged wedding vows on July 26 at St. Thomas Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Vinslauski officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
The soloist was Anne Elisa Hanson, and pianist was Peg Hansen.
Bonnie Thurow was the bride's maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Marli Thurow, Nicole Keating, Kacy Salter and Nikki Eining. The bride's personal attendants were Kelly Thurow and Kristin Bartel.
The best man was Jeremy Bartel, and groomsmen were Mike Shilhanek, Nick Poppen, Jerry Johnson and Chris Roettele. Ushers were Dave Charles and Luke Lesher.
Following the ceremony, a dinner was held at the Madison Elks Club.
Parents of the couple are Bill and Mary Jo Thurow of Ramona and Steve and Terri Bartel of Madison.
Special guests attending were Donna and Jerry Sommars, Noelene Thurow, Elvin and Donna Brown, and Marilyn Bartel, grandparents of the couple; and Joshua Thurow, brother of the bride.
The bride is currently a pharmacy student at South Dakota State University. The bridegroom is a recent graduate of SDSU with a bachelor of science degree in geography, GIS and teaching certification.
