Ogden girls showed their mental toughness in running back-to-back meets at Gilbert and Jefferson (hosted by East Greene).
"Any time you run back-to-back meets, times are not as likely to improve," said Coach Dave Neubuaer, "but tonight (Tuesday, April 17) our girls competed very well and their effort was outstanding."

    At East Greene

The 4x800 relay consisting of Maddie Diggs, Sydney Bishop, Michaela Halbur and Kate Christensen continues to be strong and snagged another 2nd place finish.
The 4x100 ran a season best time of 57.60 and placed fourth. Also placing in the relays was the 4x200 and sprint medley.
Allissa Shannon continues to run well in the 3000 and placed third in the event.
Diggs put in a good night taking 2nd in the 400 and 3rd in the 200.
Although the 1500 is not a normal event for Halbur, she ran a good time of 6:08.02 for third place. Neubauer feels that with experience, this could be another good event for her.

    At Humboldt

With the bump up in size of schools competing at Humboldt, Coach Neubauer knew points were going to be hard to come by.
But the size difference is precisely what he likes about going to meets such as the one Monday, April 23.
"Our girls get to see what it is like to compete with 3A and 2A schools. Our team is not afraid of the competition - it brings out the best in us," said Neubauer.
Bulldog Maddie Diggs had an outstanding night last Monday, placing first in the 400, 2nd in the 200 and 3rd in the 100, all season best times for the junior sprinter.
Also having a good night was Michaela Halbur who finished fifth in the 3000 meter run, and after running a season best time in the 800, just missed placing in that event.
Neubauer was pleased with the distance races of Sydney Bishop and Alissa Shannon.
The relay races did not place, however each relay saw a season best time.
